Count your stock, and work with no signal.

Housecall Pro publishes its prices, which is more than most of this category manages, and their plans line up closely with ours. The gaps are inventory and what the app does when the bars disappear.

We count stock.
And the app keeps working with no signal.
Two things their published plans don't cover.

Housecall Pro publishes its prices, which most of this category won't, and their tiers line up closely with ours. The daylight is inventory and what the phone does when the bars disappear — a tech underground can still start the visit, log hours, take the signature and close it out.

Checked against each company's own public pages in August 2026. Plans change, so check theirs before you decide.
1 Housecall Pro list prices are for annual billing; paying monthly costs more. 2 Service Fusion month-to-month rates. Their annual rate is 15% lower but charged as one payment up front. 3 Housecall Pro doesn't publish seat counts on its pricing page. 4 Workiz publishes only the cost of extra seats — $55/month on Standard and $65/month on Pro, on annual billing — not the base price. 5 Workiz states plans are billed annually at purchase and doesn't publish a month-to-month rate. 6 ServiceTitan's vehicle GPS tracking is reported to be a paid add-on. 7 Housecall Pro tracks materials on a job but publishes no stock-and-reorder module. 8 Workiz shows two-way texting on all tiers, but it sits inside their Genius Phone add-on, marked sold separately. 9 Service Fusion lists "text messaging alerts" on all tiers and "integrated voice & text" on Plus and Pro; they never use the phrase "two-way".

Straight answers

Worth knowing before you switch.

A longer track record

They've served home-service businesses for years and have a bigger community and help library behind them.

A cheaper single-user entry

Their Basic plan is aimed at one person. Ours starts at two users, so a solo operator pays a little more.

A public way to plug in your own software

They open this up on their top plan. We can't do it at all yet.

The other side

What you get back.

A price on a page

$49, $149 or $299 a month. No quote form, no demo before you see a number, and the price you read is the price you pay.

No contract and no setup fee

Month to month, cancel whenever. Nothing to pay before you start.

Stock and orders without enterprise pricing

Warehouse stock, truck stock, reorder points and purchase orders on the $299 plan.

An app that works with no signal

Photos, notes, checklists and hours save on the phone and upload themselves when the bars come back.

Questions

Before you switch.

Does Housecall Pro do inventory?

Not as a stock module. Their help pages describe tracking materials on a job — where a part came from, what it cost, whether it's been ordered — but not counting stock on a shelf with reorder points. If you carry parts, that's the difference.

What does their app do offline?

Their plan comparison lists 'offline viewing' on every plan. You can look at the job. Ours keeps capturing — photos, notes, checklists and hours — and uploads when signal returns.

Are the advertised prices the real prices?

Their headline figures — $59, $149 and $299 — are annual billing. Paying monthly costs more. Worth checking which you're being quoted.

How many users do I get?

Housecall Pro doesn't publish user counts on their pricing page; third parties report 1, 5 and 8 by tier with extra seats charged monthly. Ours are on the page: 2, 5 and 10, with extra seats at $29.

Is switching a big job?

Export your customers and price list, bring the spreadsheet, and you can have your first job on the board the same morning.

Run both for two weeks.

Keep Housecall Pro running and put a week of real jobs through ours. No card, no call.
